Insuficiencia Cardiaca is committed to preserving the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal follows the recommendations and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) when considering corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

Corrections may be issued when errors are identified that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of a published article but require clarification or amendment to ensure the accuracy of the scientific record. Such corrections may include errors in author information, affiliations, figures, tables, references, or other aspects of the publication.

Retractions may be considered in cases involving significant errors, unreliable findings, research misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, unethical research practices, or other circumstances that compromise the validity or integrity of the published work. Retraction decisions are made following a thorough investigation and in accordance with COPE guidance.

When serious concerns arise regarding a publication and an investigation is ongoing, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern to inform readers while the matter is being resolved.

All correction notices, expressions of concern, and retraction statements will be clearly identified, permanently linked to the original article, and made freely accessible to readers to maintain transparency and accountability within the scientific literature.

The journal reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action whenever necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and to ensure that published research remains accurate, trustworthy, and ethically sound.
