Insuficiencia Cardiaca is committed to maintaining transparency, integrity, and trust in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the recommendations and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding the disclosure and management of conflicts of interest.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, personal, professional, institutional, or other relationships that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the conduct, interpretation, review, or publication of research findings. Potential conflicts of interest may include, but are not limited to, employment, consultancies, honoraria, grants, patents, stock ownership, advisory roles, personal relationships, or competing academic interests.

Authors must provide a complete declaration of conflicts of interest at the time of manuscript submission. If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should explicitly state that they have no competing interests to declare. Sources of funding and the role of sponsors, if any, in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or publication decisions should also be disclosed.

Editors and reviewers are expected to recuse themselves from handling or evaluating manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest that could compromise, or appear to compromise, their objectivity. All manuscripts are assessed on the basis of scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, independent of any competing interests.

Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, retractions, or other editorial actions in accordance with COPE guidance and ICMJE recommendations. The journal reserves the right to request additional information regarding declared interests whenever necessary to ensure transparency and preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
